Better than a 16" gas chainsaw
I was surprised how powerful it was, it out powered my gas chainsaw. With 2 buttons it's on, not having to pull the string multiple times was nice. Don't have to worry about carbonator breaking or the gas going bad. You can cut stuff inside without the toxic fumes. It's awesome. Would definitely recommend this. Batter chainsaws are the way to go.

I love this chainsaw
I haven't had any of the problems others have. This is my go-to chainsaw, and I own 4 other gas chainsaws. This one is significantly stronger and faster than smaller gas ones. I also LOVE how quiet it is. Is so nice that it doesn't idle, and that you can have kids around or listen to music while you work. I was surprised at how powerful this thing is. Also has great battery life if you're not plowing through 15" oak. If you're sawing up a tree that fell or something like that, this is amazing. If you've got a bunch of large logs that need slicing, I'd go for the gas This saw is also surprisingly heavy. I have a bunch of other batteries for Dewalt stuff, so I can work all afternoon before having ajy issues. Usually I'm out of personal energy before I'm out of battery. Also, apparently you can't buy new chains for this thing? Either that, the only time I'm grabbing my gas saw is if this is completely out of battery. I love this saw. The power is better than expected, the longevity is better, and again just the quiet and ease of not having to start the gas, or deal w/ an idling saw while I'm moving a branch or something. Can't overstate how much of a game changer electric is.

It's a best
I own timber and a sawmill and heat with firewood. While I don't log commercially, I do more than a typical homeowner with 30-40 trees 20" dbh or bigger felled and milled a year typically, plus a couple of cords of firewood on top of the slab from the mill processed for heating. I still need my gas saws for felling and bucking, but this thing has replaced my smaller gas saws and I consider it equal to my Stihl 290. I own each size of the Dewalt electric saws and when the 20" came out I was excited since I've had great experiences with the smaller ones. I burn much less gas, and not breathing in 2 cycle fumes as much is also nice.
