Performance and Power
The Echo CS-362WES is powered by a 35.8cc 2-stroke engine that delivers 1.49 kW of power, making it suitable for various tasks, including cutting small to medium-sized trees and pruning. The Stihl MS 201 TC-M is equipped with a slightly smaller 35.2cc 2-stroke engine, producing 1.8 HP, which is also suitable for similar tasks. Both chainsaws feature easy-start systems, making them convenient to use in various conditions.
In terms of cutting performance, both chainsaws are efficient and provide smooth, precise cuts. However, in my experience, the Stihl MS 201 TC-M tends to be slightly more powerful, providing faster cuts in hardwoods.
Fuel Efficiency and Emissions
The Echo CS-362WES and Stihl MS 201 TC-M both feature engines designed to meet emission regulations and provide improved fuel efficiency. The Stihl MS 201 TC-M, however, has an edge in this category due to its advanced 2-MIX engine technology, which reduces emissions and provides better fuel economy compared to the Echo CS-362WES.
Maintenance and Reliability
Both chainsaws are designed with user-friendly maintenance features, such as toolless air filter access and easy-to-reach chain tensioners. In terms of reliability, both models have a solid reputation among professionals and homeowners alike. However, Stihl is generally known for its long-lasting, high-quality products, which may give it a slight advantage in terms of durability.
Price and Value
The Echo CS-362WES is usually priced lower than the Stihl MS 201 TC-M, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers. However, considering the Stihl MS 201 TC-M’s additional features, such as the anti-vibration system and more advanced engine technology, it may be worth the extra investment for those who prioritize comfort and fuel efficiency.

April 27, 2023 10:39 amI apologize for any confusion caused by my mistake in adding the wrong content. I have now corrected the article and kindly request that you please take the time to read it again. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
You should have used the 201-c long handle pic for your article the fundamental design of the saws vary greatly. Apples and oranges. Not that this seemed like much of a comparison of performance and or use and more like an extended comparison of sales brochures and advertisements. We are all capable of reading the spec sheets. Have you even run these saws? Sorry 1 out of 5 stars do better
