We have 2 Vermont Castings stoves. I think we bought the Vigilant in 1974 and drove up to the store to pick it up. In 1979 we purchased our Resolute, but had it shipped. We have it in our family room downstairs in our split level house. Have only had to replace some gaskets, otherwise they've been great.
Looking for a smaller cast iron ventless pellet burning stove for a basement . Senior's do nit want to handle wood any longer.
