January 15, 2024 7:18 pmI’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing with your Master Forge Large Pellet Stove. It’s quite unfortunate when the door where the pellets burn keeps popping open, and the pellets continue to drop and burn. In my experience, this could be due to a few reasons. Firstly, the door hinge might be loose or worn out, which is a common cause for doors popping open. Tightening it or replacing it might solve the problem. Secondly, air leaks in the system, such as in the door gasket, could cause the stove to overheat and the door to pop open. Lastly, the air-to-pellet ratio might be off, leading to a hotter burning stove and causing the door to pop open. If these suggestions don’t resolve the issue, I would recommend reaching out to a professional or the manufacturer for further assistance.

January 15, 2024 7:15 pmAm using the manual mode but when using P1 ( high) after about an hour stove shuts down and gives E6 code, set stove fan from-5 to 5 , left exhaust fan at factory setting of 1, stove ran on P1 high for about an hour and a half and shut down with a Esc1!! Any advice on where I should set Stove fan & exhaust fan settings to eliminate this issue? Thanks
Brian
January 9, 2024 5:04 amHi Brian, While you've tried adjusting fan settings, those E6 and Esc1 errors on your Master Forge stove indicate potential overheating that needs careful attention. Don't tinker blindly! Firstly, consult your manual's troubleshooting sections and reach out to Master Forge support for model-specific guidance. Ensure proper venting, use high-quality pellets, and clean your stove regularly. If the manual and support offer no clear solutions, adjust fan settings cautiously, starting with a higher exhaust fan setting and monitoring closely. Remember, safety first! If unsure, engage a qualified pellet stove technician for accurate diagnosis and safe operation. Let's get that stove running smoothly and reliably!

January 9, 2024 5:22 amCopied from previous question. I have this stove, just bought it and when firing up for the first time, it smoked up the house as the paint was curing. there is nothing in the manual to address this. I have never had a stove do this. it was not wood smoke, it was a metal smell.
David Doyle
January 7, 2024 9:50 pmHi David Doyle, While your new Master Forge pellet stove's initial smokey performance and metallic odor are concerning, it's not necessarily cause for alarm! Some initial smoke and odor are normal, especially as paint cures or manufacturing residue burns off. However, the intensity you describe suggests a closer look. If the smoke wasn't wood-like and the metal smell lingered, consider these possibilities: overheating components, faulty venting, or even excessive paint curing. To be safe, ventilate your house, contact Master Forge for their specific model insights, and keep an eye on future fires for any recurrence. If unsure, don't hesitate to consult a qualified technician for peace of mind and optimal stove performance. Remember, safety first!

January 8, 2024 12:22 amI have purchased a h3w80 XL I am very disappointed on what's going on. Cannot figure it out. I love the stove. It seems to work okay except it doesn't seem to blow a lot of air out of stove. I know it should make my porch a lot warmer and it's not performing the way I've seen other pellet stoves work. Porch is only 7 ft wide, 30 ft long. It should heat this whole porch with not an issue but it doesn't seem to be blowing enough hot air. Please help. The blower is blowing and I think I have the right settings on the pellet stove
