The HP-22N stove holds 80 pounds (2 bags) of pellets, not 22 pounds. We are in our third year of using this stove to heat our sunroom and it has been very reliable.
This stove is poorly designed and plagued with issues. The first one we installed did not work, we replace multiple auger motors, controllers, motherboard and wiring harnesses. They adventually sent a replacement. Which works(ish), continues to stop feeding randomly. I'm told it is a pellet issue. We sift our pellets and clean the hopper out weekly and it still will not run consistently. Id the auger did feed vertically this would not be as big an issue as it is. Poor design, everyone keeps saying to use hardwood pellets, i would if they were available in Colorado but they are not. We have had this for a year now, and it deceloped a horrible squealing noise when feeding (poor design.) I started cycling graphite in the auger on the weekly hopper cleanings, and that has helped, but added maintenance that was not ahown and more time. The ash pan is also poorly designed. There is a 1/2 gap around it and ash always accumulates behind it, not much more cleaning, just showing a lack of detail on the design again. There are more items wrong with it, if you are looking for a pellet stove get something other than comfortbilt, we certainly will when i get tired of fighting with is one.
