You compared the Stihl 261 and the pullan 5020 which are both 50cc saws to the others that were all 60cc saws. To compare better you should compare the Stihl MS 362 to the other saws and leave Poulan out. Or bump all the saws to 50cc saws. Such as the Husqvarna 550xp.

I’ve got a few Stihl saws including an MS 261. It never requires an oil change. Don’t know what the author was thinking listing that as a con. All 2 strokes saws are lubricated by the oil in the fuel.

I bought a husky 455 rancher in 2012. I cut between 12&14 cords of mostly oak per year every year. I have never had to adjust the carb and it has the same spark plug that came in it. It starts on the first pull most of the time ,never more than two. I run the premixed fuel

I have an older model chainsaw Stihl 034 20" bar with no easystart feature. With some Arthritis in both hands and a shoulder injury, I had trouble starting the saw especially when cold. However I made a kickstarter for the machine that would fit most makes. This has cured the problem hot or cold. there is no mod required to any machine. legs are stronger than arms anytime. Details can be supplied if required.

Incredibly confusing. Apart from the Poulan, they all weigh 13.2 or 13.3 pounds - that's not a differentiator yet for some you have it as a pro and others a con.

How is it stated in this article that the MS- 261 needs an oil change? Plus all saws need their chains tightened and filters cleaned as well as the chains sharpened. I own a MS 261 and it is an excellent saw! I own 5 Stihl saws all together and it is my felling saw.
