Great saw to have!
Its light to climb up ladders with, clear fence rows, and break down limbs. I would say that while cutting up a 15: log it was struggling with that some, but the blade wasn't as sharp as when I started to tree. For the price I'd recommend everyone having one. Just don't over commit with it. Big fan.

I am very happty with this MS 171 so far. It is light and easy to use for light duty cutting.

Small but GREAT
I bought the steel 171 chainsaw have never owned a chainsaw or used a chainsaw the sales associates at the store went over all the safety features with me and showed me how to run it it is a great chainsaw gets the job done and definitely would buy it again and would definitely recommend it maybe on the smaller end of chainsaws but it gets the job done and am a first time stihl purchaser.
