Spend the money and get it.
This saw is a beast! The saw was great stock and I hade zero complaints but with a couple add ons like a bark box or straight shot and new foam air filter you can really wake it up. It’s such a fun saw to run with the ability run a 36” bar yet be light enough to run all day and not have ur arms totally shot. Do yourself a favor and buy one if you are on the fence about them.

Best saw ever
I recently bought this saw from timberline ace hardware in Heber. I have taken it out a couple times only cut about 4 cords so far, but this saw is amazing. Extremely fast cutting. I got it with the wrap handle and 25” bar. I would recommend this saw to anyone. I would also recommend going to ace hardware in Heber they are great. I waited for 6 months at my local store for a 462 Rcm that I had paid for a time of order and it never came in. I called Heber and they and one in stock. When I got there they also had this 500i R in stock for a little more money so I went with it and couldn’t be happier.

Phenomenal power to weight ratio packs a big punch
I bought 2 of these for my tree service “The Tree Guys of WTX” I’ve used this same saw in California and Oregon to fall timber and climb real big trees and it definitely has no limits to what it can achieve. Best saw on the face of the earth in my opinion

Accelerates like a rocket
They aren't kidding about the grinning ear to ear. It was worth the wait. This is a light saw with a lot of power and insane acceleration. Seems to be making extensive use of polycarbonate (still mag in all the right places). Runs strong--no bogging in dense heartwood. I cut a lot of hardwood (oak, maple, ash, locust), some of them fairly large trees and have been pretty impressed with its performance. I've sold my 362 and 461 for this and couldn't be happier. So far, I've put about 5 gallons of fuel in it and I'd say it is starting to liven up some more. I don't think it's thirsty. We'll see how reliable it is. I'm still not sold on the cost vs the 462 which is a step down in power.
