    Love this saw, simple design.

I just special ordered this saw at my dealer, just a basic non electronic design ive been looking for. The saw feels perfectly balanced with a 25" bar and chain, weighing in at only 2 pounds heavier than my ms461 the power to weight is a perfect balance.

Powerful saw, day in day out

I bought my first 661 in 2016. After running Stihl for professional logging for many years, I was recommended to the 661 by a colleague. I had run many in the 70 and 80 cc range, but this 92cc saw is a whole new level. Since my first one in 2016, I have bought three more. They are very tough as well as powerful. Great for felling big trees off the stump, but not too heavy for delimbing. I run a 20” bar because I use it all day for everything. I recommend this for the professional. It is not a weekend worrier saw, very strong and will throw you if you are not holding on the correct way...not a toy

    Best saw I’ve ever used!

I originally went to buy the new 462c because of it being lighter and almost as much horsepower. My dealer didn’t have one so I decided to try the 661c. Man am I glad I did! It’s the baddest rig I’ve ever used, makes me look forward to running a saw. Its bad fast and you can’t choke it down with a 25 inch bar. Runs a 32 inch bar like it’s nothing. I have since used a brand new 462c side by side with it and it’s not close to the 661. It is slightly lighter but not really much felt difference but the 661 runs off and leaves it on power and torque. I had a pile of logs and would make 2 cuts with each right after the other. Both had brand new identical chains except the 661 had a 25 and the 462 had a 20. The extra power of the 661 is well worth the very slight weight difference. Both are very nice saws but I’d never trade the 661. It’s the goat of chain saws.
