Overview
The STIHL MSA 220 TC-O is a high-powered top-handle chainsaw that offers similar power and performance as professional gas top-handle chainsaws. It uses the same 3/8" STIHL PICCO™ chain and 12" ROLLOMATIC® E and E Light guide bars as its gas-powered counterparts, making it an easy switch for professionals from gas to battery power. The saw has a high chain speed and is equipped with durable parts such as a magnesium motor housing and a brushless motor, making it suitable for heavy workloads. An LED display screen provides quick status updates, while the saw's weather-resistant design, low maintenance, easy service, and replaceable parts limit downtime. This chainsaw is designed for in-tree professional use only and delivers the power and dependability that STIHL chainsaws are known for.

Made the switch to battery powered
I love my gas powered Stihl chainsaws (and other units like my blower, hedge trimmer, string trimmer etc). Buy once for life. I was reluctant to move to battery powered. I needed a saw that I could use around the property that was compact and easy to run. After lots of research I decided that this unit fit the bill. Using the 500s battery it out runs me! More than enough run time and power to get the job done. Great to have one in the rotation. I will use it along side my gas farm boss depending on the job. I can see myself using the battery unit 80% of the time though.

Great Little Saw, Great Power,
Just recently purchased this great saw. I have an MS 201 TC I bought for my small jobs and limbing work, but wanted an electric saw for the short calls. This fits the bill perfectly. It has the same power as her gas sister. Love the Oil light feature. The 500 battery out lasts me. If I’m going to be cutting all day the gas job takes the task, if it’s going to be just an hour of work or two, this saw with the 500 battery is perfect.

Consistently Awesome!
Bought this on 4-30-22. I have used it on my 3.5 acres with amazing results. This past February, we experienced a severe ice storm and lost hundreds of oak tree branches. I bought an extra battery and have been working on clearing fallen branches. I have already stock piled at least 2 cords of wood with easily another 2 cords to cut. I am in my late 70’s and could not be any happier with the work that little saw has performed.
