It's A Beast!
I've worked with the saw for 6 hours now cutting hardwood's like one would warm butter. It's far better, more robust, than my previous garden variety electric saw.

so nice to be electric
just plug it in and cut. Going through 10" pine just as easy as my gas 16" did without all the hassle. The only negative is you need an extension cord but I will never go back to gas!

Stronger than gas
I can’t believe the amount of power in these little saws. Much more simply made than the gas versions we all love. I have built an entire coped log home with one of these without any problem. No matter how hard I uses these they never seem to die. Most useful is indoor work I usually don’t put oil in it as to not make a mess. No gas burning and the same power inside doing log/ hand hewn beam work. Amazing!!!!! Anyone that says these saws are not good are nuts! I have owned three of them all different sizes and I have put hundreds of hours on them and they are indestructible. If you have a plug-in socket near by these are great. Otherwise outdoors I’m still a gas saw man.

The preferred saw of professionals
I'm a professional ice sculptor who relies on a chainsaw on average over 32 hours a week. As a career sculptor for the past 36 years, I've tried all kinds of electric brand chainsaws and none can hold a candle to STIHL They've always been the most reliable, and needed the least amount of repair. Other saws were either too weak, or were constantly breaking down; needing new on/off switches or major internal part. By far the STIHL is the best, All I have to do is maintenance, replacing the bar, brushes or drive sprocket for the chain. Hats off to STIHL....The brand name well earns the capitalized letters!

BEST ELECTRIC CHAINSAW I HAVE USED
I have used it about 3 or 4 times and it cuts like butter. Expensive, but for me it was worth it because I am very tired of gas/oil, etc... I hope it lasts for the rest of my days as often as I use it.
